Ever since I was a young child, I was very active and loved to move and dance. It’s no wonder I fell fast and hard for yoga. But beyond the physical, it was the introduction of breath and meditation that transformed my love of movement into a spiritual practice. My teaching is inspired by my practice and studies in mindfulness as well as the cutting edge of neuroscience. From my home bases in New York City and Avalon, NJ, I teach public and private mindful movement and meditation classes, and I lead workshops and retreats both nationally and internationally. I'm also a provider for Integrative Health & Wellbeing at NewYork-Presbyterian in collaboration with Weill Cornell Medicine where I offer mindfulness classes and programs. My teaching is slow, thoughtful, and full of heart. I'm a certified Level 1 Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher through the Mindfulness Center at Brown School of Public Health. I’m also a 500-hr certified yoga teacher through YogaWorks, and hold certifications in Restorative Yoga and Children’s Yoga. |

Sharing the practices of yoga and mindfulness with the intention to benefit others fulfills a childhood calling of mine to serve. Alongside my teaching, I am passionately involved in philanthropic activism, serving and walking alongside of folks who feel isolated and are challenged by housing- and food-insecurity. This aspiration thrives via an ever-growing network of generous, kind-hearted friends, family members, NYC neighbors, as well as connections to impactful organizations such as Homeward NYC, Safe Families for Children, and YoungLives Manhattan.
Service is a form of practice, a way to connect deeply with others in our shared humanity and lovingly hold space for one another without any judgement or expectation. You can join the grass roots philanthropic activist community I co-founded in 2014 which is lovingly referred to as The Mom Squad. We are a group of passionate volunteers and donors that comes together to support our neighbors around the city by offering fellowship, facilitating community gatherings, providing hot meals and essential supplies through donation drives, and much more.
Life is our greatest teacher! Every moment is an opportunity to practice. Every person, place, encounter, season, sunrise or sunset. Whether it's fun or boring, exciting, scary or sad. Being with the ups and downs - welcoming it all - our lives offer up the fertile ground, the heart and soul of practice. I'm so grateful to be on this path, sharing and teaching what I've come to know about these practices and my personal journey, aspiring to live the most authentic life from the heart, engaged in the never-ending opportunity to be present and awake for this moment, and this one, and the next.....
