mindfulness meditation
Over the course of 4 weeks, we will meet weekly as a group to practice various formal mindfulness meditation, learn about research at the vanguard of contemplative neuroscience, build our capacity to pay attention, AND take what we learn into our daily lives. We will be building the muscle of mindfulness, so in between classes you'll be invited to practice formal meditation a minimum of 5 days a week for just 12 minutes a day. If you are new to meditation, your goal will be to start with a 3 minute daily practice and build from there. There will also be instruction and invitations to explore mindfulness informally in your daily life. You'll receive guided meditation recordings, tools and inspiration to support you along the way, information about cutting-edge mindfulness research, and have an opportunity to build community and learnings within the group. |
Mindfulness meditation is like exercise for our brains, and just like any other type of exercise, in order to reap the benefits, you have to engage and do it with some regularity. You wouldn't expect to get in shape by doing one workout a week, would you? Mindfulness is the same so you will have to engage in this exploration and practice in between classes in order to discover the benefits of mindfulness for yourself.
CLASS SCHEDULE
From June 22nd - July 20th,
we will meet on Wednesday mornings from 11 am - 12:30 pm ET
live at the Sol Luna Yoga studio or over Zoom.
Class participation will be an important part of the program so if you will need to miss more than 1 live class, I'd recommend taking the class the next time it's offered. An audio recording can be provided if you miss a class.

The "Pay-it-forward" amount is the standard price of $95 plus a $30 contribution to support this labor of love and help make this course accessible to all.
